Marina Camponês and Diana Botelho Vieira presented their album “Histórias para uma Flauta” (Stories for a Flute) with a launch concert on 6 November at the Adelina Caravana Auditorium, Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Braga. On the album ‘Histórias para uma Flauta’ (Artway Editions), the flute and new Portuguese music take centre stage. Flutist Marina Camponês and pianist Diana Botelho Vieira joined forces to fill a gap in the teaching of the instrument, where contemporary works by Portuguese composers are rare for the various levels of education. This led to the creation of Histórias para uma Flauta, a project that involved commissioning new compositions, recording them and making a double album and the sheet music available to all flute students and teachers. | (text by António José Ferreira)

A Palavra e a música - Meeting with Paulo Bastos Moderator: Elisa Lessa from the University of Minho “Immersive Experience (WOW)” | Premiere of “Quié amigo, quié de Brága!”, electroacoustic music on support
This electroacoustic work proposes a psychedelic approach that immerses the listener in a sound spectrum of indefinitions, distortions, and nonsense elements. It presents the sound perception of illusory things. Everything is transformed and organised into a permanent framework of ‘Inter-Dream’. ‘Light and Heat’, inspired by a text by Manuel Bernardes, addresses, in a mixture of voices (generated by artificial intelligence) in various languages, the question of example as a basic and essential condition of the master before the disciple.
