Biography

Paulo Bastos was born in Vila Pouca de Aguiar. He studied composition at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo.

This Portuguese composer dedicates great part of his work to chamber and children's music, although his solo, orchestral and electronic production is also significant. His works have been performed, and some also recorded, by some of the best musicians and ensembles, in Portugal and abroad. His works have been published by AVA Musical Editions, Scherzo Editions, Arpejo Editora, MIC.PT, Artway Editions, Association Bar&Co, APEM, Salicus and Universidade do Minho.
